The BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) is a small Linux system that runs on the ASPEED2600 chipset on the device. Its always powered and what enables the BMC Web interface, power on/off, fan controllers and many other things.
FMADIO host (the AMD EPYC system) access the BMC via the ipmitool command, however this tool is opensource and lacks some of the hardware specific details the BMC provides. Extracting the BMC logs from the web GUI provides an additional level of detail on log events not possible with the FMADIO System Report.
